Engaging programs to keep kids coming back to the library

The Jacket I Wear in the Snow

Jacket I Wear in the Snow

I have a big book of this classic story and wanted to incorporate the rebus pieces into a flannel story…so I made pieces for the children so each child gets a turn throughout the story. Once I read the original word, I point to the pictures and have the children read with me. Of course, the long underwear is their favorite part of the whole story! (Though I’m quire proud of my mittens!)

Check out other flannel stories at Storytime ABCs, she’s hosting Flannel Friday this week!

And, if you’re looking for after school programs and want to expand your blogging to include school aged programming¬†check out Thrive Thursday.
